PTBM… the support service that helps individuals to help themselves.

Here at PTBM we do things a little differently …. we don’t disempower individuals by completing tasks for them but instead we work alongside vulnerable adults, supporting them to complete the tasks required to maintain their own independence. Step by step individuals will become more active in completing those activities that help them. We focus on three main areas – encouraging people to complete the daily domestic activities to live independently such as cleaning, meal preparation etc. Emotionally supporting customers through difficult days, helping them to build a tool kit of coping strategies and being with them whilst they build their confidence in the local community.  Our goal is to help people gain as much independence as possible so that they feel fully in control of their life.

Our customers are bravely battling mental health problems, often alone, often unsupported. We believe that every individual has a right to live their best life, to find purpose in their days and to feel good about themselves. We are at the forefront of mental health support services, striving to overcome the judgement that accompanies mental health problems.

We are not a Domiciliary Care provider, a cleaning company, or a health care company. We are a Mental Health Support organisation. Our overarching objective is to empower individuals and to create a clear pathway for progress, whatever that looks like.

We are based in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, just outside of Shrewsbury and cover all areas of Shropshire.

If you have any support work experience with any age range, a driving licence and vehicle, and have an interest in or would like to gain experience for counselling, psychology, support therapies, social work, mental health or life coaching then come and work with us.

Mental Health Support Workers wanted across Shropshire!

PTBM focus on supporting vulnerable adults within the community who may be experiencing anxiety after a traumatic experience, mental health issues, learning disabilities, Autism or individuals that have recently left care and need support to be independent and integrate into society.

We work with individuals in the community who are living alone, in homes or shared accommodation. We support individuals to get out and about, join in, remain independent and be in control.

We also help within the home, keeping on top of the housework, finances, budgeting, even repairs, gardening or decorating that may need doing. Whatever the need, we have honest, reliable teams ready and waiting.
